The Wamboin Community Association meets on the third Tuesday of every month, except January, at 7.30 pm, at the Wamboin Community Hall located at 112 Bingley Way, Wamboin. Residents, visitors and anyone interested in the Wamboin Community are welcome.

Wamboin Community Centre Multifunction Court

Funding to build a Multifunction Court at the Wamboin Community Centre has been provided in the QPRC budget. It is hoped to commence work on the court in early 2027.

The Court Intent

The court will be based on a half basketball court that could cater for multiple sports, including basketball (3x3), pickleball, netball and cricket practice. The initial build will be for basketball and pickle ball but additions can be made in the future, depending on community input.

How Will It Be Managed?

The Wamboin Community Centre (WCC) is a Queanbeyan Palerang Regional Council asset and it will be managed as part of the WCC. It is expected that local groups will form around the Multifunction Court ie basketball group, pickleball group and then these groups will then become part of the Community Association. Day to day use of the court will devolve to these groups so we are seeking interest from community members who may wish to lead or be part of these groups.

We are seeking community members who might want to help with the planning and implementation of the court and/or set up court user groups, eg a basketball group, pickleball group or half tennis group.

New Residents' Guide now available!

The Wamboin Community Association (WCA) has published a New Residents’ Guide that is available free to all new (less than 2 years) residents of Wamboin.

The Guide is intended to:

• create a “meet & greet” opportunity for residents to introduce themselves and the Wamboin community to their newly arrived neighbours
• inform new residents of social, community, sporting and other groups and organisations that operate in the area
• facilitate and encourage new residents to join the Wamboin Community Association, and
• pass on useful hints about rural living.

If you have new neighbours and you'd like to give them a copy, or if you're new to the area and don't yet have a copy, you can pick one up at the WCA stall at the monthly Home Produce Markets, download the on-line version, or email the WCA Secretary (secretary@wamboincommunity.asn.au) to arrange your copy.
